Jiří Schwarz is President of the Anglo-American University in Prague, as well as being an economist, and Director of CETA – Center for Economic and Market Analyses. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of L’Institut de Recherches Economiques et Fiscales (IREF), Paris, and served as a member of the National Economic Council of the Czech Republic (NERV) from 2009 to 2013. At the core of his academic work, lays the economics of regulation with a focus on the energy sector and financial markets. He has been serving as a member of supervisory boards of Czech and foreign corporations, including financial institutions, since the mid-1990s. He is also a member of the Mont Pelerin Society, Washington, D.C.

Prof. Mgr. Jaroslav Miller, MA, PhD. obtained history and/or philology degrees at Palacky University in Olomouc (UPOL), at Central European University in Budapest, and at Oxford University (Lady Margaret Hall). He was the President of Palacky University from 2014 to 2021. Prior to that, he founded a UPOL campus in Iraqi Kurdistan (2018) and also started the Civic University project (Občanská univerzita), which promotes values of freedom and democracy. Additionally, he participated in creating the well-respected university consortium AURORA – an alliance of 9 universities across Europe.

Born in the USA to Slovak parents, Natalie has lived in Prague for 23 years with her husband and children. Prior to joining AAU, Natalie was the Manager of Admissions at the International School of Prague and has previously worked as a corporate paralegal and event specialist. Natalie has a degree in communications and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Jindriska works closely with colleagues in the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. She administers AAU Archives include electronic records management, also provides support in the area of research and institutional grants in the AAU’s Research Office. Her interests lie in metadata, indexing, classifying, and document editing. When Jindriska is not working on a computer, she looks after her flowers and books.
