Emel Yarimoglu has been working in academia for over 20 years. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Marketing, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from Dokuz Eylul University. 

She worked at Yasar University in various administrative and academic positions. Yarimoglu became an Assistant Professor in 2012, Associate Professor in 2017, and a Full Professor of Marketing in 2023. She worked at Comenius University in Bratislava as a Visiting Scholar. 

Yarimoglu has over 50 scientific papers published in both indexed journals and reputable academic publishers. She serves as a reviewer, editorial board member, and editor in academic journals. She has led conferences in the fields of business and marketing and still serves as a reviewer, scientific committee member, and track chair at prestigious conferences. 

Her main research interests consist of customer satisfaction and loyalty, intentions, service quality, sustainable food consumption, and environmentally friendly consumer behaviors.

Galina Kiryushina holds a Ph.D. in English Philology from Charles University Prague, where she also worked as Research Assistant at the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures.

Her most recent publications have examined cinematic and televisual legacies in Samuel Beckett’s writing, with a focus on his late prose. Her work has appeared in academic journals and essay collections, including in Samuel Beckett Today/Aujourd’hui, the Journal of Beckett Studies, Beckett and Modernism (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018), and Samuel Beckett and Technology (Edinburgh UP, 2021), which she also co-edited with Einat Adar and Mark Nixon. Her current research focuses on Beckett’s collaborations, in particular with the German television broadcaster Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR/SWR).

Konoreva is a lecturer in the School of Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychoanalysis and Philology and M.A. in English and American studies from the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. She is the founder of the project Lacan.Link, devoted to the study of the most recent developments in the psychoanalytic theory and structuralism, and is a practicing psychoanalyst. Konoreva joined AAU in 2025 to lecture and help broaden students’ understanding of psychoanalysis as theory, practice, and institution, and its engagement in the intellectual life of a contemporary subject.

Wiessenberger is a psychology instructor and researcher. He earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University in 2014 and his Ph.D. in Medical Psychology and Psychopathology from the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in 2018.

His research focuses on consciousness studies, ADHD, and biological psychology, with recent work in in silico research and AI models for personalized medicine. He also explores the impact of viral infections and inflammation on mental health. Passionate about the mind-body connection and the nature of consciousness, Wiesenberger brings a multidisciplinary approach to his work.

Beyond psychology, he has experience in the field of nutritional supplements targeting the endocannabinoid system and has an extensive background in scientific journal editing. He currently serves as an editor for Frontiers in Psychology in the Consciousness Studies section. He also has a strong interest in philosophy and Western spiritual traditions, including Hermeticism and Kabbalah.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking in the mountains, spending time in forests, and exploring the world’s architectural heritage.

Václav Linkov is an adjunct lecturer in cross-cultural and indigenous psychology. He earned master’s degrees in mathematics and psychology, a bachelor’s degree in political science, a doctoral degree in social psychology, and a certificate in mathematics education—all from Masaryk University. Linkov also studied Asia-Pacific studies at National Chengchi University, an intensive course in Mandarin at Central China Normal University, and an intensive course in Korean at Sungkyunkwan University.

He has worked as an information systems programmer in several IT companies, as well as a lecturer or assistant professor in psychology or mathematics at various universities. His research interests include cultural and indigenous psychology, traffic psychology, and the connections between psychology and mathematics. Linkov has received several research awards, including the Early Career Award from the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology and the Distinguished Early Career Professional Contributions Award from the Society for Media Psychology and Technology.

Borg is a lecturer in the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Originally from Malta, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy, and a Higher National Diploma in Psychology. He is also a CELTA-qualified English teacher. During his career in English language teaching, Borg developed a strong interest in gamification, which later became the central focus of his research.

He furthered his studies by earning an MSc in Organizational and Work Psychology from the University of Limerick, Ireland. Borg’s undergraduate dissertation examined how local primary school teachers integrate gamification techniques into their teaching, while his master’s research investigated whether gamified training influences job applicants’ perceptions of a company compared to conventional training approaches.

Petříková is a visual artist, filmmaker and researcher. She is a graduate of FAMU (Center for Audio-visual Studies) and UMPRUM (Supermedia Studio) and in 2024 obtained her PhD in the Theory of Film & Multimedia from FAMU. 

In 2020, Petříková received the Jacques Derrida Prize for young researchers in humanities, awarded by the French Embassy in Prague, and in 2023, was selected to be a part of the Berlinale Talents program. She has been active in the field of experimental film and moving image and has participated in a number of solo and group exhibitions. Němcová completed her PhD studies at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University, where, between 2017 and 2020, she lectured on modern and contemporary art in the context of Prague. Prior to this, from 2014⁠ to ⁠2015, she worked in the Bibliography Department of the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, subsequently serving as expert lecturer at the National Gallery Prague until 2020. Němcová is currently curator of the National Gallery’s Collection of 19th Century Art and Classical Modernism. In her ongoing research and publishing activities, her main focus lies in the area of Czech public art from the first half of the 20th century.

Dragan Dragin is an award-winning, Prague-based photographer originally from former Yugoslavia (Serbia). Starting out as a young filmmaker, he later earned a master’s degree in economics before transitioning into photography and commencing his career at a local newspaper in Novi Sad.

His photographs have been featured in exhibitions across various countries, including the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, South Korea, and Mexico. Some of his works are included in the collections of institutions such as the Tanz Museum in Cologne, the National Gallery Prague, the Theatre Institute in Prague, as well as in private collections.

Dragan has taught at the Duncan Centre Conservatory, SIT Study Abroad, and the BART Summer Academy in Montenegro and further advanced his studies in photography at the the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU). He moved to Prague in 1991.
